Since 1998 we have been at the forefront of 3D laser scanning for the Film, TV and Multimedia industries. Until December 2008 our clients knew us as Soho-Cyberscan, part of the Framestore Group. At that time our directors approached Framestore to secure the systems and assets and relaunched as an independent company – 2h3D Ltd.

Apart from our name and independence, little has changed. We maintain the same knowledge base in our staff and thus are still the most experienced 3D scanning operators for Film and TV working in the field today. We have now added new levels of experience and expertise in the arenas of SFX model-making and CNC/Additive Manufacturing, demonstrating that laser scanning is not solely the domain of VFX.

Our aim remains to provide the highest quality 3D scanning data of real world objects, at any size and any resolution, to worldwide clients who appreciate a company that not only knows its own business, but also knows theirs and can thus work sympathetically around their project without disruption to the work-flow.

Times are changing. More powerful computers mean that we can create larger and more complex models, and our clients can utilize more fully the high resolution datasets that we have been producing for over a decade.

Turnaround times are quicker. Prices are lower. We are committed to making 3D scanning more affordable and time-efficient for all productions, regardless of budget.
